The wrong way has tiny bubbles of valid space around each celestial; the right way has a huge sphere of valid space centered on the sun, extending 10AU past the furthest celestial in all directions. the problem is that CCP is GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. there is no right way to shrink space!
